2027 BMW 7 Series facelift breaks cover; comes in Mild-hybrid & Electric powertrains


BMW has given its flagship 7 Series a makeover. The facelift version comes with a new exterior design and a massively upgraded interior.

Starting with the exterior, the new 7 Series looks sharper with its redesigned kidney grille. While it still looks enormous, it now has a more angular design. The headlamps and taillights have also been reworked.

BMW has completely transformed the interior of the new 7 Series. The design is based on the new Neue Klasse philosophy and features a 17.9-inch touchscreen in the centre with an additional screen on the passenger side. The conventional instrument cluster has been replaced with a full-width display that stretches from the base of the A-pillars.

The 2027 BMW 7 Series comes with a 3.0-liter turbocharged 6-cylinder engine paired with a 48V mild-hybrid system. It produces 394 hp and 398 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels, allowing the sedan to sprint from 0-60 mph in under 5 seconds.

The 7 Series is also available as an EV. The i7 50 xDrive comes with a dual-motor configuration producing 449 hp and 487 lb-ft. This version completes the sprint from 0-60 mph in 5.3 seconds and has a top speed of 130 mph.

The top-spec i7 60 xDrive packs 536 hp and 549 lb-ft. Both variants come with a 112 kWh battery, offering a range of up to 350 miles.
